Top Pass Plays
Every Madden player’s got go-to plays. Here are the three best passing plays on Madden Mobile. They’ll drive any D-coordinator nuts
Shotgun: TE Corner
Play from any hash to any side of the field.
1) Look for your Tight End to break the corner. If it’s single coverage, let it fly deep. Good for 15-30 yards.
TE singled or left alone? Wait for the break and let it fly.
2) If he’s double-covered, you’ll get picked off. Look for your WR on a hitch. Good for 10-15 yards.
3) If WR is also covered, checkdown to your RB on a delayed curl. Good for 8-10 yards.
Everybody covered? Checkdown to your RB.
4) If you get blitzed, let it fly to your TE immediately.
Shotgun: FL Drag
You want to play to the big side of the field, so set it up with a run, if needed.
1) Your RB is your #1 target. He’ll do a wheel route. On a cover 2, wait for him to pass the DB. If he’s not covered, give it to him right away and let him loose. If there’s man coverage, wait until he’s streaking and let it fly. Good for 10-20 yards.
Wait for RB turn swing his wheel past the DB on a zone D.
2) If your RB is double-covered, look to your FL on a drag. Good for 15-20 yards.
3) If your FL is doubled, wait for your TE on a delayed release. Good for 8-10 yards.
I-Form: PA TE Corner |
Play from any hash to any side of the field.
1) Play action: if under pressure, let it fly to your TE.
2) Look first to your TE on a corner. If there’s man to man single, let it fly. Good for 20-30 yards.
3) If TE is doubled, look to your SE on a drag or your RB on the flat. Get it to them. Good for 10-20 yards.
Several options, all wide open.
4) If you get contained away from the play, look to your FL on a cross. Good for 5-10 yards.
How defense has changed
Saying that defense is not a priority in Madden NFL Mobile is a bit of an understatement. In asynchronous head-to-head play, you don't take control of your defenders at all, as the AI manages them while your opponent plays offense. When it's your turn, you play offense only.
Yet assembling a top defense is still part of your team-building duty, and for the new NFL season, Madden has made some intriguing changes to the way you give instructions to your defense by totally revamping the Gameplan system.
How does it work now? Read on and we'll explain.
How the Gameplan used to work
Prior to the 2016 refresh, the Gameplan was pretty simple. You picked a few plays you thought your opponent was more likely to call than other plays, and if they called them, your defense rushed through the line en masse and made it very difficult (but not impossible) to gain any positive yardage. Think what used to happen back in the day when someone "called your play" in Tecmo Bowl and you get the idea.
The problem was that made defense somewhat of a one-trick pony. Once your opponent figure out what plays you had planned against, he or she simply wouldn't call those plays again. All it really did was to take some calls out of each player's arsenal, and that's not really even close to how defense works in real life.
The new Gameplan and how to utilize it
Madden NFL Mobile now presents the Gameplan as a place where you can plug in a variety of Gameplan Items -- similar to Collectibles, except instead of plugging them into sets, you insert them into your Gameplan instead. There are five all-purpose slots, plus one each specifically for a Defensive Unit and Two-Point philosophy.
You receive a new Gameplan Item every time you level up, and you undoubtedly will be able to earn them through Live Events as well. All told, there are three different types of them, each of which affects your overall defense in a slightly different manner.
- Play Type items give you an improved chance to counter a specific broad category of play, like all runs.
- Position Group items give you a slightly smaller chance to counter categories of plays than Play Type items, but they also grant an Awareness bonus to one position group during a certain situation: Like buffing all MLBs on 3rd and long.
- Play Counters are like the old Gameplans, in that they counter a specific play all the time, along with giving a very small bonus to the category in which that play resides.
Thus, you can use the new Gameplan exactly like the old ones, plugging in five plays you'd like to stop. But a more interesting way to use it is to mix and match all three types of Gameplan Items to cover a variety of plays and situations your opponent is likely to favor.
At the top of the new Gameplan screen, you'll see a quick summary of the percentage chance your current Gameplan has of countering all four categories of plays: Run, Short Pass, Long Pass, and Play-Action Pass. But there's one additional layer of strategy to consider.
Keep or trade?
As you might already be saying to yourself, it pays to keep a big roster of Gameplan Items to defend against different tendencies, and the game encourages this by allowing you to save five different plans. However, you can also take unwanted or duplicate Gameplan Items and insert them into sets, swapping multiple common Items for rarer ones.
Together with the rest of the new options, this allows for a lot of flexibility and requires you to take some more time to think about how you want to approach defense. It's not the same thing as giving the defenders of the NFL as much respect as those offensive glory boys, but it's definitely a big step in the right direction.
Tips for Success
Madden Mobile starts easy, and then it gets tough. Very tough. The competition stiffens with each tier you scale. I’ve been at this for over a month and I’m ranked at 336 with 73.1 million fans. Took me about a week to break 1000, but then over three weeks now to get to 336. Been here a while, too. Competition is tough and gets tougher.
Lots of hard work to get to where I am now, much more hard work ahead to reach the Top 100.
If you’re just starting out or in the middle levels, some of these tips may help you move up in Rivalry or League play. It’s not for the really good players – those fellas don’t need tips. It’s for average players like me.
Run First, Pass Second
Pass plays are much tougher to execute than run plays. As you move up the tiers, you’ll see better Defensive Backs, too. Which means, picks. Lots of picks, and pick-sixes. So, run and run, and pass only when you need to. And do the unexpected like pass on running downs and run on passing downs.
Here’s my usual script:
First Down: Run
Second and Short: Run
Second and Long: Pass (defense will usually line up for a run)
Third and Short: Run
Third and Long: Run a play between tackles like Draws and Dives (Defense will usually be Nickel or Dime)
Fourth and Short: Run
Fourth and Long: Pass
Passing is an Art Form
The safest passing plays are lobs down the middle to your Tight End. So, first of all, get a good TE. And learn the pass plays that has your TE streaking. Even if the pass gets picked, the DB will usually get tacked right away. If you get picked while passing to your WR, there’s a good chance it’ll be pick-six. Corner routes to your TE will also work but are not the safest.
The next safest pass plays are short ones to your RB or WR on a curl, screen or flat routes. But you need to read the defense. If there’s a trailer or tight coverage, it’s better to take a sack than risk pick-six.
Always Touchback
On the kickoff, if you’re KR is standing in the end zone, hit that button that says, “Fair Catch”. It’ll give you an automatic 20 yards. Don’t try to run it out – you’ll end up on the 10 or 15 yard line
Don’t run it out, you won’t make it! Hit Fair Catch button for easy downing.
Defensive Strategy
Don’t forget to set your Defensive Strategy. You’ll get an extra play each level you move up. You have a Global Strategy and then a player-specific strategy. Study the Film and set your Defensive Strategy. You may need to set it before every drive as top players know how to counter your counters.
Likewise, study the film to choose the right plays for your next drive. Your first drive is often a scouting drive, figuring out which plays will work and which have been countered. So, start your first drive with core plays and try to get as many plays in as possible.
Go for Fans, not Wins
You add fans for Field Goals, and you lose fans for turnover on downs. So, if you’re down by 6 points on your last drive, and it’s 4th and 5 at the twenty yard line, kick the field goal and add the fans. You can try and get the win, but if you fail, you lose fans and you won’t move up the ladder. It’s better to lose 7-3 and get the fans than 7-0 and lose fans.
Use the Auction
One of the best things about Madden Mobile is the auction system. You can get good money for players you don’t need. Not all players are worth auctioning. Bronze, Silver and lower-level Gold players should be used to complete sets or converted to trophies.
Auction Gold players that are 80 and above. A skills player at this level will fetch somewhere between $1-5K. A special teams player or lineman will fetch more.
Auctioning is a good way to get money for the players you need.
Auction the players during the day. Regardless of your auction’s duration, set it so that it’ll end at a time when most people in the United States are not sleeping. You’ll get more $ that way. For example, Mychal Kendrick (90+) fetched somewhere between $35-50K during the day, but only $25-30K during the graveyard hours.
Use the auction to sell and not buy unless you already have a ringer-roster and just need one or two to round out. (If you’re at that point, you probably don’t need these tips.) Use the money to buy packs and complete sets. That will yield more top players faster.
At some point, you’ll need to do more to reach the very top – I’ll write more tips when I get there. But for those in the beginning or middle of their Madden Mobile careers, these tips will get you going.

Tips for Building Unstoppable Teams
1. If you're looking to earn coins quickly, target the easy Season Achievements first. Your team should have no trouble taking out the competition, so you can use this chance to focus on earning Achievements that will get you trophies and coins.
2. Early on, the quickest way to build up your team is to focus on opening packs. You'll almost always get at least a couple of players who can upgrade your team, and you can always use additional players to work toward completing sets.
3. Most people think you should focus your coins on upgrading your QB or running back, but the best Madden Mobile players know games are won and lost in the trenches. Focus on snapping up the best offensive and defensive linemen you can find on the cheap, as they'll improve all facets of your game.
4. Make sure to regularly check your team lineup screen to see the OVR ratings for all of your players and identify any positions you need to shore up. You can also see how you stack up against other teams by tapping on an opponent in Head-to-Head mode and using the Scout button to check out their lineup.
5. Protect your team! Make sure you link your account to Facebook so you never lose your progress. If you switch devices, your squad will follow you. Bonus: you'll get extra coins for being logged on.
Best Coins Making Methods Explained
So if you are reading this guide bit late don’t worry we will be updating the new one for those times too. So let’s get started with this all new madden mobile 17 coin making methods tutorial.
Just Playing the Game
Playing the game or event will always be helpful but it won’t be as helpful in future as it is right now, In the very beginning of when the game first started. So when you first start playing the game you may be having something around 100 coins or 0 coins or some other numbers. So if you play a season game that gives you fifteen hundred coins each, That’s really the best amount of coins which you can get playing season games. Also if you win the game then along with coins you get 350 XP which surely helps you to level up in the game. When you level up then you get more coins, gameplay, gameplan packs everything you need to get more coins. Also when you play season games you can unlock achievements, There are many achievements which can give you almost 500,000 coins, When you unlock and complete like 10 of them in one season game it really adds up. So this is the best way to start off and earn as much coins as you can in early season of the gameplay.
By Opening the Packs
So as of now you might be having like 50K to 100K coins within few days, Now the next best method would be to open the pro packs, because in the first or second week of new season you could literally make lots of coins by opening the packs. Within first 2 weeks it almost has the guarantee to make back the money you spent to open it. You can pretty easily sell all those gold, silver and bronze cards which don’t carry much value for at least of 7000 coins, So what you are going to do is continuously open the packs. And you should be wanting only 80 overall plus gold of 76 overall fullback which is probably yourself around 6000 again. But it will average itself if you continually open it and selling the crappy packs. So you should be working on opening the packs in this early stage of the game as probably it may not work in future.
By Sniping
Most majority of coins in the madden mobile are made through opening the packs and sniping, These are the best methods you can use to improve the amount of madden mobile coins, The best sniping filter which works well is taking the halfback in quarterback positions getting gold’s and sculpture elites and then you can save them for 3000 or something like that.
Those were some of the best coin making methods you can apply in the early stage of madden mobile 17, As game just launched recently you can take benefits of methods for next couple of days, We will be working on a madden mobile coin making guide which will help you to generate the coins throughout the season which will be very helpful in the future till then stay tuned and happy maddening.
Tips, Cheats and Strategies
Madden NFL Mobile is EA’s latest attempt to bring the console sports gaming stalwart to mobile devices. There are some card game elements involved as you attempt to build the best possible team of real NFL players, but the action on the field is action-oriented whether you’re playing the game’s Live Events, Season contests or asynchronous Head-to-Head matches.
Though it’s certainly not the most complicated football game ever to take the field, there are a few tips and strategies to keep in mind that will make the climb to gridiron glory a little easier. Fortuitously, we happen to have a list of them on hand …
HOW TO EARN XP FAST
Kawon Davis from the Madden NFL Mobile team provides four tips to quickly earn Experience Points (XP) to level up and build a dominating team in every gameplay mode.
PRE-SEASON DRILLS
Play through the five Pre-Season Drills to earn 100 XP. Make sure to burn all your Stamina by engaging in Head-to-Head and Season games before playing the Stamina-free preseason drills.
LIVE EVENT CHALLENGES
Play and complete Live Event challenges to earn XP from the First Time Win bonus. Finishing Live Events for the day is important. Find one you are good at, grind it out, and have fun.
GET YARDS IN LIVE EVENTS
Live Events that are based on yards are more forgiving with user errors or bad plays, making those easier to complete for the full XP bonus.
PLAY EVERY MODE
Keep every feature moving! Have games active in Seasons, Head-to-Head, and Live Events. This keeps the game fresh, and allows for plenty of chances to earn XP and Coins.
HEAD-TO-HEAD TIPS
Kawon Davis from the Madden Mobile Team provides these tips for managing and succeeding at Head-to-Head play in Madden NFL Mobile.
UPGRADE YOUR DEFENSE
Getting good defensive awareness is vital when playing Head-to-Head. As a user, you can’t control what the defense is doing on field besides the counter plays.
SCOUTING IS KEY
When going into a Head-to-Head match, spend some time looking for the team that has the weakest defense. That’s the best way to ensure that you can score.
RIVAL FILMS
Use the Film feature of the My Rivals screen to see what plays you should counter from your opponent.
Pro Tip: Countering their two-point conversion plays can win you a match!
DEFENSIVE STRATEGY
Choose plays you want to counter on the Defensive Strategy screen. Mix up your defensive strategy between drives to keep your opponent guessing.
BUILD A LEAGUE WITH QUALITY OPPONENTS
You can look for a League that’s already established, or create your own. It’s more likely that players will apply to your League if it has an interesting name.
Money Making Guide for Madden NFL Mobile
We hear this question almost everyday. Whether it’s from our league mates, people on other online games, or even from our friends we play with. We thought we could make a compiled list of most of the methods everyone knows, and some tips and advice that you may or may not have heard of on how to make money on Madden NFL Mobile. We also answer the question, if there are cheats for Madden NFL Mobile available.
Madden NFL Mobile – Money Making Guide
Rule #1
Basically anything that is an auction house method is going to be a “buy low/sell high” method (because that’s obviously the best way to make money).
Rule #2
The best filters are ones you find or make yourself. We are sure you’ve heard this one many times. When we first heard it, it frustrated us to all hell. We just wanted one of those rich players to just give us only one filter. We understand now that had they told us, it would be barely any profit for us or them.
Rule #3
Don’t forget to have fun! Don’t force yourself to snipe when you don’t want to! We like to chill in the morning with our breakfast and snipe, or during lunch. Our favorite time is during games (like that Patriots loss 30 minutes ago! What a game!)
Filters
We are sure you’ve heard of a lot of these, but just finding one new filter can double your profit! We know we may get some hate for revealing someone’s bread and butter filter but we are willing to take that risk to help the people out that are still having problems. Anyway, here they are:
Sammy Watkins 86 OVR: This filter is literally what it says. Sniping the GAMECHANGER Sammy Watkins can make a lot of profit, since you have to wade through all the totw Watkins. Our best snipe we’ve had with this filter is 100k buy/220k sell.
Dri Archer 70 OVR MF: This is one of the filters we found (highly coveted when we couldn’t afford to buy the 100k+ players, like Watkins. Basically, depending on your server, you can snipe the Most Feared silver Dri Archer. Since he’s silver a lot of people don’t seem to understand he is worth 10k+. Another hidden benefit of this filter is that you can snipe the gold game changing one with it. Just set it to 70+ Dri Archer for a few K under his going rate on your server. Our best snipe was an 800 buy/12k sell.
Captain Collectibles: This one is incredibly simple, but pretty common. With this one, you just want Elite Collectibles, and then whichever captain collectible you’d like to snipe. Very straight forward, just make sure you have a good 15k-20k gap in between the lowest selling collectible and the one you just sniped, or else it isn’t really a snipe, or worth your time. Our best snipe was a Tyrann Mathieu Collectible for 40k buy/90k sell.
Week/Year collectibles: Another very common one. Just snipe the legend or year collectibles for around 20k under the going rate. The only thing to look out for is sniping the wrong collectible. For instance, with Deacon Jones and Walter Jones (which collectibles defer by about 50k price) might lose you a lot of money, if you aren’t careful about which one you want. With these filters, you just take the last name of the player and put “week” or “year” after it. So “Jones week” would work, but “Jones week 2” or “Deacon Jones Week” or “Deacon week” would NOT work. Our best snipe was when Munoz first came out, 60k buy/120k sell.
Deion Method/Gold Players: In this method, you will be “scroll sniping”. This means not refreshing every 5 minutes and going for one snipe, but scrolling through tons of players to try to get as many as possible. With this method, you want to buy gold players for anywhere from 1500-1700. After you snipe them, you can either convert to trophies for LQS+Deion (not recommended) OR sell the silvers/golds (We tend to convert bronze trophies for convenience) and keep elite trophies for Deion. We haven’t done this method yet, but we have heard many success story from it, and that it can even profit you a little, and get you Deion!
General Money making tips and good things to do:
Always do your 20 gameplans: The free 30k valued premium pack is at least 8k, with no elite pulls. this can add up, especially WITH the elite pulls you will probably get (We tend to get 1 elite pull every 3 packs/3 weeks)
Don’t open pro packs: This goes without saying. No matter how much someone’s amazing pro pack pull is, or how many numbers MMG tells you, just don’t do it. It’s a risky method that was only good profit in August/September when golds/elites were much more.
Weekends: Make Legends for your team OR make them and sell them! We cannot stress this enough. Today alone we went from 100k cash (after updating a lot of our team) to 700k, with even more updates! Do the math before you start sniping the collectibles, but they generally make about 50k-100k per set (other than older legends) If you wanted, you could even keep the player.
Packs you don’t want to buy: This one is like the don’t buy pro packs tip. Premium packs (other than the free one of course), are buns. All-Pro packs are probably the baddest pack in the game. Legend Packs are a gamble, but we still find ourselfs making money sometimes (I.E. do what you want).
Live Event Grinding: We literally love this. We have 3 accounts, in which we grind the “money events” (Free Agents, Gamechangers, Road to Riches, Road to Ring, Road Signs) and make tons of money. When spread across 3 accounts and 3 events per day, we’ve never not gotten an elite pull. It’s just something that’s good to do: use your stamina…
Level Up!: This applies to higher levels much more, but when you hit prestige levels you will get about 10k coins per level up. This is just a side note but just remember that small cash out if you are close to leveling up.
Are there cheat codes in Madden NFL Mobile?
Let us now briefly talk about Madden NFL Mobile cheats. We are often asked whether there are cheat codes for the app. This does not exist, unfortunately, because Madden NFL Mobile is a Free2Play game, so you have to use real money to buy the premium currency.
From time to time available on the Internet, are so-called hacks, with which one you should get unlimited premium items. These are not only illegal, but often hide viruses and Trojans that can do much damage to your phone or tablet. For this reason we do not recommend the use of so-called Madden NFL Mobile hacks or cheats.
We hope this guide helped! We’ll edit anything if we notice a mistake, or you do. If you no some more tips on making money in Madden NFL Mobile, please leave a comment below
